Sunday, 21 July 2019

Bali, 21 July 2019 - PT Kharisma Plastik Indo in collaboration with Greenhope (PT Harapan Interaksi Swadaya) brings Ecoplas, a shopping bag made from cassava, environmentally friendly, has high functionality and is easily decomposed by microbes.

This not only supports the Bali Provincial Government's policy of enacting Bali Governor Regulation No. 97 of 2018 on Limiting the Generation of Single-Use Plastic Waste drafted by Bali Governor, Wayan Koster, which was later followed by Badung Regent Regulation No. 47 of 2018 on Reducing the Use of Plastic Bags, but also provides an alternative for businesses, retailers, and the people of Bali to reduce the use of conventional plastics.

‘We pay attention to the needs of the community so we want to provide solutions related to plastic waste. But the government must also pay attention to these environmentally friendly plastic bags so that they can be used by the community. Moreover, the price is the same as regular plastic bags around Rp 30,000 per pack or Rp 200 per sheet,’ explained Mr Hermanto, President Director of PT Kharisma Plastik Indo at the launch event of the environmentally friendly product.
